E-learning day experience

E-learning day was quite of an experience for me, as i don't really have this kind of event in school usually. I woke up at about 7 in the morning and washed up as usual and had my breakfast. Then, i did some of my e-learning subjects such as higher Chinese and math as math had to be done by 11pm. After that, i went out for lunch and went home after that, continuing with my work again.

I feel that we have quite a lot of homework to deal with and i hope we would have less homework next year.

Book review

The book I am about to review is :The Lord of the Rings. Never I believe has any book gathered as much acclaim or held the imaginations of people as it has. It was the book of its era, an unparalleled masterwork that outstands. Sadly though, it has faced competition. While it was good during its time, and still beautiful in its scope and world building, The Lord of the Rings tends to fall short when compared to most contemporary novels due to the clear lines drawn in its moral battles between good and evil. The moral struggles that could have made it so much more complex was paled by the one object that was the focus of the novel: the Ring. As we are constantly reminded of, its corrupting power and dark influence affects most of the ill decisions made by Frodo and Golem could be attributed to it instead of their own moralistic struggles with themselves. Thus providing an easy excuse when it come to the reason on why they acted as unreasonably and immorally as they did. The Lord of the Rings undoubtedly set the standards and foundation upon which modern fantasy is built but its time has elapsed. A new age has dawned...

Holiday experience

A holiday like never before! It was extremely busy and heavily loaded with lots of homework from school and tuition that was rather stressful. It is sad to say that I did not have much time to do the stuff that I wanted to do. However, it gives me the opportunity to catch up with my studies and give me the chance to practice more. I also had the chance to do a reflection upon myself and sort out what I was going to do next. For example, focusing and not letting laziness get in my way.

It was also rather bored when i attended my NCC day parade rehearsal as we jus stood there for a long time without doing anything.

Personal targets for english

At the end of the year I would like to achieve at least an A1 for the english language, to improve my writing skills, attempt to brush up my grammer skills and to graspe the concept of summary writing as i feel that i have not fully understood summary writing.
